After months of lead-up, Oscars week arrived with the typically packed schedule of surrounding parties and events. Vanity Fair, Elton John, Madonna, Chanel and Charles Finch, Giorgio Armani and Women in Film all returned back with their signature bashes, as nominees and winners party-hopped all week long. Check out the celebratory highlights:

Inside Dish: Chappell Roan stole the show on Sunday night by hitting the stage following the star-packed viewing party to deliver an electric set that featured her hits “Hot to Go!”, “Red Wine Supernova” and “Good Luck, Babe!” But the viral moments came when Roan welcomed John to the stage for surprise duets — she even kindly asked black tie attendees to clear a path for the legend to get to the lights from his table in the center of the tented ballroom where he was watching her set alongside Furnish and Carlile — on “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” and the grande finale “Pink Pony Club.” For the latter performance, she gently placed a pink cowboy hat on John, who lit up while helping Roan belt out the chorus. In another heartwarming showing, Roan sang a cover of John’s “Your Song,” which she introduced by calling it “one of my favorite songs of all time, and it’s maybe the best song period.” She dedicated the beloved track to her parents, whom she asked to wave to the crowd from their position near the side of the stage. “I dedicate this song to them because they introduced me to Elton John. This goes out to them, and obviously, Elton, this is yours.” When it was all said and done, the event raised $8.6 million in support of the foundation’s mission.
Elton John and Chappell Roan perform. The Midwest Princess praised John during their duet by saying, “You have sacrificed so much for the queer community and made it so I can be the artist I can be.” As a tribute, she also delivered a cover of John’s beloved hit “Your Song.” Michael Kovac/Getty Images for Elton John AIDS Foundation Zachary Furnish-John, David Furnish and Elijah Furnish-John. Chanel and Charles Finch

Players: Lily-Rose Depp, Lupita Nyong’o, Riley Keough, Adrien Brody, Al Pacino, Colman Domingo, Danielle Deadwyler, Dakota and Elle Fanning, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Demi Moore, Felicity Jones, Fernanda Torres, Harvey Keitel, H.E.R., Jeff Goldblum, Jeremy Strong, Judd Apatow, Kim Kardashian, Leonardo DiCaprio, Natasha Lyonne, Michael Keaton, Miguel, Olivia Wilde, Patrick Dempsey, Questlove, Rege-Jean Page, Rita Ora, Sebastian Stan, Tobey Maguire, Willem Dafoe, Zoey Deutch, Bela Bajaria, Brady Corbet, Mona Fastvold, Coralie Fargeat, Denis Villeneuve, Derek Blasberg, Diane Warren, Eric Fellner, Gayle King, Gia Coppola, Honor Titus, Jen Meyer, Nicole Avant, Patty Jenkins, Tanya Lapointe and more.
Place: Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel
Served: Dinner featured a menu with a caesar salad to start followed by entree options steak au poivre, chicken parmesan or roasted cauliflower steak. For dessert: Mini Marilyn’s ice cream sundaes with mint chip ice cream, malted milk foam, hot fudge and sour cherries.
Inside Dish: The luxury fashion house once again teamed with globe-trotting multi-hyphenate Finch to host one of Oscar weekend’s most exclusive and star-studded affairs. To prove that point, look no further than the attendance of rock royalty Mick Jagger, who so rarely makes party appearances on the West Coast. But he seemed to be having the time of his life, hanging around with a pair of best actor nominees in Adrien Brody (who arrived with his parents and girlfriend Georgina Chapman) and Colman Domingo (who brought husband Raul), and posing for photos with celebrity fans. It’s such a hot ticket that best actor nominee Ralph Fiennes arrived 15 minutes before the party even began. The Conclave star tried to make an incognito entrance, too, bypassing the press line and ducking into the Polo Lounge where he made a beeline to the bar to order a martini.
Who can blame him? After a grueling, months-long and rollercoaster awards season, many of the nominees elected not to do interviews and instead focusing on relaxing inside the dinner where Leonardo DiCaprio, Jeff Bezos and Al Pacino also made stealth entrances. “It’s so civilized,” commented The Brutalist best director nominee Brady Corbet as he arrived arm-in-arm with his partner in work and life, Mona Fastvold. That’s one of the reasons so many bold-faced names flock to the dinner because amid the crush of Oscar weekend events, this one has an elevated yet calm vibe to it. “It’s breezy,” explained Ava DuVernay, a regular attendee. “People’s guards are down because there’s no competition. It’s done yet you still can’t fully eat as much as you would like. But it’s a vibe.”
That vibe was enhanced by the fashionable Chanel threads covering the majority of the guests. As such, also making rounds were house ambassadors like Lily-Rose Depp and Riley Keough, the latter of whom explained why Chanel events are always such a chic stop on a weekend like this one. “Chanel’s support for film is so wonderful. They’re just extremely innovative and supportive to filmmakers, especially female filmmakers, so that’s every exciting. I love how involved they are with cinema, and how deep that history is going back so many years.” A legacy that dates back to Coco Chanel.

Place: Giorgio Armani boutique on Rodeo Drive
Inside Dish: The Giorgio Armani traditional pre-Oscar party, always the Saturday before the Oscars, had its most starry night ever, packed into the two floors of the Rodeo Drive boutique — almost as packed as the sardine-like crush of autograph hounds blocking the tourists from their shopping sprees. Inside, it was pretty easy to see who’d be strutting in GA on the Oscar red carpet the next day: Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman, Samuel L. Jackson, John Lithgow, Felicity Jones (in a GA spring 2025 floral dress), Anora’s Mark Eydelshteyn, plus other Armani loving VIPs: Walton Goggins, LaKeith Stanfield, Jurnee Smollett, Denis Villeneuve, Henry Golding, Darren Star (in a snug purple GA suit – who knew Armani did purple?), Kristen Bell, Ruth Wilson, Joan Chen — and even some well-dressed others who actually pay for their clothes.
Zac Posen, whose first Banana Republic pieces are about to debut, pronounced, “I’m wearing custom Banana Republic.” (He did at the Oscars, too). And no one’s worn Gap/Banana since Sharon Stone’s last-minute change in 1996. The tallest man in the big tall crowd turned out to be barely recognizable Dolph Lundgren, who stuck close to his wife, avoiding all the celebrity schmooze and mirror modeling. Sure, they were all “FOG” – friends of Giorgio, the man and the brand. But who will succeed the 90-year-old master, who plans to step down in a year or so? One name bandied about: Hedi Slimane. — Merle Ginsberg

Inside Dish: On Friday, Women in Film, Los Angeles hosted a toast to the 65 women nominated at this year’s Oscars, welcoming a group that spanned from acting nominees Cynthia Erivo and Monica Barbaro to the many female producers, costume designers, production designers and hair and makeup teams behind this year’s celebrated films.
“Our industry has taken a beating in the last four years, and that combined with what’s happening to women, to transgender people, to immigrants, to queer people and people of color across this country means that we need this community more than ever,” WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer told the crowd as she kicked off the evening. “We need to double down on our efforts for inclusion as a community and not let up.”
Upon arrival, nominees had been given white flowers to wear, and one by one were called up to introduce themselves on a stage overlooking the venue’s central pool. Erivo received particularly big applause during her turn, and 16-time Oscar nominee Warren got some laughs as she deadpanned, “I’d like to thank the Academy” when she took the mic. “You guys are all fucking winners,” she added, and once the roll call was complete, the nominated women gathered for a group photo.

Women’s Tennis Association
Image Credit: (Photo Credit: Jojo Korsh/BFA) Party: WTA celebrated female trailblazers on and off the court
Players: Hosts Aryna Sabalenka, Ava DuVernay and WTA Ventures CEO Marina Storti plus friends of the brand like Yvonne Orji, Morgan Riddle, Ayan Broomfield, stylist and manager Jared Eng, and WTA athletes and legends like Taylor Townsend, Alexandra Stevenson, Anne White and Pam Teeguarden, among others.
Place: Sunset Tower
Served: Sunset Tower bites like sushi rolls, crab cakes, pigs in a blanket, sliced figs with goat cheese and desserts that proved to be the talk of the party: delicious vanilla tennis ball-shaped cakes with cold pineapple chunks inside. Pours included The Drop Shot (tequila, basil, lemon, fresh ginger), Hollywood Fizz (vodka, mint, oil, Prosecco), and The Sunset (whiskey, honey, fresh lemon).
Inside Dish: If awards season is truly a competition then it made complete sense to have the world’s #1 athlete join the festivities on the final weekend leading up to Hollywood’s biggest night. Sabalenka teamed with DuVernay and Storti to co-host a chic and intimate cocktail party on the terrace at the hotel’s Tower Bar where a pyramid of WTA-branded tennis balls hovered on the pool deck. But there were other reasons for the WTA to plant a flag on a busy Oscar weekend schedule. “It was a combination of things,” Storti revealed to THR. “We’re in the lead up to the Indian Wells tournament, which will be the first tournament for us to showcase the new branding with our assets going live at that time.” Storti was speaking about the WTA’s bold and brand new identity complete with a new logo and a call to “Rally the World,” which was designed in tandem with ChapterX and Nomad Studio. The year-long effort has also produced a new campaign (with creative agency Brothers & Sisters) that features stars like Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, Ons Jabeur, Naomi Osaka and Qinwen Zheng in 30 and 60-second spots that feature players at the center of the WTA’s rebrand in a bid to expand the sport. Storti said the push also makes sense as tennis is having a bit of a moment in entertainment as well, buoyed by Challengers, Emily in Paris and Vogue coverage. “It’s about being in a conversation that’s bigger than tennis,” she added. “We’re having a moment and that translates to visibility but also relevance and resonance.”
They don’t get much more relevant than Sabalenka, who is enjoying a moment at the top of the rankings. The superstar doubled down on the WTA’s messaging by saying that “it’s a huge move” to rebrand right now. “WTA needed a refreshing moment for so long, and it’s about getting together to help each other to inspire the next generation while also helping bring WTA to the next level. Tennis is such a cool sport and we need to bring more people into the sport. We’re doing it by showing them our personalities and what it takes to become a champion. Tennis so so beautiful.” Speaking of beautiful, Sabalenka borrowed the same adjective to describe her dress for Sunday night’s Vanity Fair party, which will be her first outing at the A-list affair. “I was raised watching movies and I’ve watched the Oscars many times. To be able to be a little part of it this weekend is just a dream of mine. I can’t wait to see everyone and I think it’s going to be an incredible experience for me.”

Kennedy, who made waves this week after news broke she is expected to retire this year as president of Lucasfilm, kept a low profile at the event, skipping interviews on the red carpet and focusing her speech on her connection to Ireland rather than her Star Wars status.
Will Ferrell was on hand to present to Reilly, joking asking the crowd, in light of the current political climate, “Do you still want the U.S. part? I know what you’re thinking, it would be a good time to get out. The U.S.-Ireland Alliance to please get us Irish passports. Is there paperwork I can fill out, is there a booth in the back?”
Reilly also got political in his speech, celebrating the Irish for “their love of democracy and their common decency” while noting, “We Americans threw off the monarchy — we believed self-rule is a right, right? And that all people deserve to be free, right? One person, one vote. And nevermind what the fools in charge these days are saying and doing. Real Americans still understand that.”
The Step Brothers and Talladega Nights star added, “To those in power today who would seek to destroy the vulnerable among us, I say, you’ll get yours. And tonight, I got mine!”

On the red carpet outside of Bar Marmont, Palmer told The Hollywood Reporter she didn’t know how much party hopping she would be doing over Oscar weekend, as “a couple of years ago at this time I wasn’t a mom, now I am, and I’m always trying to get back to the baby. But for the most part I’m happy to celebrate everybody, friends, my peers — it’s going to be a great weekend.”
Inside the dark and moody event, the hosts enjoyed their own private corner as stars swirled through the space, with various areas for drinking, smoking and dancing in front of the DJ booth — Yellowjackets stars Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Nélisse, Courtney Eaton and Liv Hewson kept the party going on the dance front. The event saw the reunion of several young casts, as stars of Outer Banks, Cobra Kai, Euphoria and the upcoming Warfare reunited. Several couples also made the event a date night, with Lili Reinhart and boyfriend Jack Martin, Benito Skinner and Terrence O’Connor, and Cooper Raiff and Addison Timlin kept close.

Inside Dish: Diane von Furstenberg once again opened up her home to this year’s female Oscar nominees for a sunny luncheon event on Wednesday, co-hosted by Ava DuVernay, Donna Langley and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. Upon arrival, guests were greeted with a large sign of all the women nominated for Academy Awards this year, as nominees were asked to sign next to their name.
After some mingling, the event moved outside for the luncheon, where von Furstenberg noted how most people know about the nominated actresses but less so about the women working behind the scenes in Hollywood. “Today is about recognizing each other and connecting, because I know in the past years, quite a few people have met other people and magic happens,” the designer said. She also shouted out her co-hosts as “three formidable, badass women who are my friends and make shit happen,” before reading the list of this year’s nominated women aloud to applause from the attendees.
“The week is filled with all kinds of events and on Sunday, if you’re going, you’ll be in a room with all kinds of people. But I believe there’s a special happiness when you’re around people who feel like family, like community; there’s something a little more connected when you can look across and see a sister,” DuVernay added. “And so often we are in spaces where it’s hard to find each other or there’s only one or two of us,” as she noted the value of events like the luncheon. Langley echoed, “This is a beautiful event but it’s intentional and it’s with purpose and this is how Diane walks through her life. She’s a great inspiration to me.” After the speeches, Dove Cameron took over for a short performance as the mingling continued.
